Sruti Visweswaran is a filmmaker and editor from Mumbai, India.

She practices in the space that is shared between the non-fiction form and video art, making experimental video works that hinge on the solo aspect of making. A lot of her work is borne out of her interest in Materialist cinema and its discursive approach to filmmaking, and in the intersection of video with other mediums. Her own explorations center on the materiality of the video medium. She finds a likeness between Impressionistic paintings and video, which greatly influences aesthetics of image and sound in her filmmaking, and their eventual translation into cinematic language

She recently graduated from the MFA Programme in Documentary Film & Video at Stanford University.

Her short documentary film 'Continuum' premiered at the Big Sky Documentary Festival 2023 and was in the running for Best Mini Doc at the same festival.

Sruti's work as an editor ranges from documentary film to video art. She has worked with independent filmmakers in India as well as video artists whose works have shown at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Kochi Muziris Biennale, and at the Chatterjee & Lal Gallery in Mumbai.
